A leader, philanthropist, and representation of Black Excellence. Iyana has demonstrated her love for education through the founding of her very own 501c3, The Giving Bookshelf – an organization that has provided over 2000 books (and several bookshelves) to students from low-income communities who have limited access to these resources.  Iyana has been recognized for her many contributions throughout the years, including: The Prudential Award for outstanding service to others, The President Volunteer Service Award for her commitment to strengthen her community through volunteer services, and is a 6 time recipient of the Excellence Award presented by the New Jersey Orators, among many other accolades. Iyana comes highly recommended by her teachers and peers. The scholarship committee is pleased to award Iyana a $500 scholarship towards her college expenses. Iyana will be attending Drexel University in the fall, majoring in Biological Science.
