Who is Shareyna Nicole?
Shareyna James is a lecturer at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick campus. Her teaching philosophy is centered on helping students to develop their skills in critical thinking, effective communication and academic writing. Concurrent with her work in the Graduate English Language Learners Institute, Shareyna supports underrepresented minorities within the field of Engineering. In this role, she supports students’ academic preparedness while developing and implementing pre-college initiatives and outreach programs. Shareyna is currently enrolled in the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education’s Doctoral Studies Program where her focus is Education, Culture, and Society.
Beyond the classroom, Shareyna is committed to creating professional networks to empower and support women of color through programs focused on mentorship, leadership, community engagement and scholarship. As the owner of Shareyna Nicole Consulting, LLC, she focuses on developing services for professionals looking to enhance personal and professional skills. Shareyna has been nominated for the Leader in Mentorship Award hosted by The BOSS Network and presented by Prudential. This prestigious nomination highlighted influential women of color who inspired other women by sharing their strategies and journey to success.
